Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must have at least one year of kitchen experience
  • must have food handlers certificate
  • must understand verbal and written English
  • must have knowledge of cooking and knife skills
  • must know safety and food handling guidelines
  • must understand health and sanitation laws
  • must understand use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • must have organizational skills
  • must have interpersonal skills
  • must have communication skills
  • must be able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year kitchen experience
  • knowledge of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • knowledge of safety and food handling guidelines

Job Duties

  • Set up kitchen before shift and or tear down at end of day
  • operate griddle, deep fryer, cold side (salads and desserts) workstations
  • inspect and maintain food preparation and serving areas for safe sanitary practices
  • follow established recipes and use required kitchen equipment
  • adhere to check lists, prep lists, and order forms to maintain par levels and product quality
  • assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments
  • weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • participate in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and stations
  • wash, peel, cut fruits and vegetables as per recipes
  • portion, plate and garnish food items
  • cook orders including special requests
  • follow procedures for cooling, portioning, labeling and storing bulk recipes
  • execute restaurant and event plate ups and buffet items
  • comply with sanitation and safety regulations
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • communicate product runouts, equipment issues and service quality
  • meet dress and grooming standards
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • provide high quality customer service
