Job Requirements

  • Active food handler's certification or ability to get it
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Energetic personality
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Job Duties

  • Develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry)
  • Experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
  • Reach and recreate recipes
  • Consistently prepare all food items to required standards
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • Work with culinary leadership to create menus reflecting seasonal availability
  • Prepare ingredients by chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat
  • Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • Ensure proper storage of food and kitchen items
  • Maintain the quality of ingredients
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Maintain a passive leadership role in production from the kitchen staff
