Job Requirements

  • ability to read, speak, write, and understand english
  • basic mathematical skills
  • knowledge of weight and measures conversion
  • dependable with no excessive absenteeism or tardiness
  • coordination, speed, and stamina to complete job
  • ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • experience handling a wide variety of food products including allergens

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • servsafe certification or successful completion within 90 days
  • minimum two years experience in fast-paced, high quantity food establishment
  • strong customer service skills
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • proficiency in knife handling and various cooking methods

Job Duties

  • prepare hot and cold food items for patients, staff, and visitors
  • cook according to established menus and standardized recipes
  • ensure portion control guidelines are followed
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • manage timely and accurate meal production
  • utilize various cooking techniques including grilling, sautéing, and braising
  • handle food presentation and decoration
