Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Experience using a computer to look up information and input data
- Able to work both in a team setting and individually
- Must possess required tools
- Must understand and follow aircraft maintenance manuals
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Able to pass FAA required 10 year work history review, criminal background and fingerprint checks
- Willingness to submit to FAA and company mandated random drug and alcohol tests
- Must successfully pass background check and drug test
- Possess a stable employment history
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Experience using computers for data entry and information lookup
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Previous experience as an A&P mechanic or airline experience preferred
- Avionics experience preferred
- Experience with General Aviation piston aircraft preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment
- Comply with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, company policy, FAA and OSHA regulations
- Troubleshoot all aircraft systems
- Execute maintenance work orders
- Use tools, equipment and test apparatus ensuring proper calibration and serviceable materials
- Verify part and component effectivity for specific aircraft
- Follow material handling and control procedures
- Evaluate work area and equipment for safety prior to maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Update Supervisor on progress and review paperwork at shift end
- Complete internal forms, maintenance records, and computer system transactions
- Provide coaching and on-the-job training
- Adhere to established work schedules and participate in shift meetings
- Submit suggestions for operational improvements
- Utilize RSQCM and aircraft manuals
- Adhere to recurrent training and keep certifications current
- Read and acknowledge maintenance communications timely
- Perform other assigned duties
