Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- one-year experience in program coordination or related fields
- must maintain all required annual trainings and CPR certification
- ability to operate computer applications such as Touchtown, Canva, Google Docs, and Worxhub
- must be able to lift 50 lbs
- must be able to walk and stand for periods of time
- ability to work flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- customer service orientation
- ability to provide AV support and train others
- ability to proofread and manage member communication materials accurately
Job Qualifications
- Program, public relations, or special event coordination preferred
- bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred
- one-year direct experience through jobs or internships in the formation and maintenance of program concepts, operations, and technology support
- must maintain all required annual trainings and CPR certification
- ability to effectively utilize a variety of state-of-the-art computer applications and technical equipment
- must be a collaborative individual who enjoys working with others, creating a positive and uplifting environment, and communicating very effectively at all levels
- must be a flexible, highly customer service and people-oriented individual who demonstrates compassion, patience and understanding
Job Duties
- Coordinate with and support the activity department in program development, implementation, and execution
- assist with the planning of outings and events away from the community
- facilitate, conduct or assist in running various programs and events
- assist director of lifestyles with participation tracking
- organize and ensure the professional appearance and timeliness of publications, calendars and other member communication tools using programs such as Touchtown, Canva and Google docs
- assist with gathering information for the Gazette from within the department as well as from other departments
- input events and outings into Touchtown with 100% accuracy
- proofread all documents and electronic means of communication distributed to members, i.e.: the Gazette, Gazette Calendar, flyers, posters, and Channel 1901
- utilize Worxhub to maintain accuracy of room assignments for programs
- ensure accurate details of announcements posted on the in-house television channels and provide training to designated team members on inputting/changing programming
- provide AV support to team members and invited guests/speakers, prior to and during events, ensuring proper set-up and functioning of needed equipment based on the needs of the speaker/event
- train other designated individuals in equipment set-up and operation as appropriate
- supports the director of lifestyles in digital signage
- maintains bulletin boards, display stands and other resource signage
- identify technology concerns and report them to the IT department
- photograph outings and events to share with administration and sales
- photograph headshots of new members shortly upon move-in and those missing from member directory
- learn the presentation for Garlands 101 to serve as back-up in the absence of the director
- generate innovative ideas of programs for the consideration of the director
- attend weekly department meetings to ensure effective communication
- perform other duties as needed or assigned
