Job Requirements

  • Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
  • Must pass all health screenings including physical, TB test, and drug test
  • Must possess current basic first aid certification or obtain within first 30 days of hire
  • Must be able to safely transport residents
  • Must successfully complete fingerprinting/criminal background check and reference checks
  • Must be committed to working with seniors and supporting their well-being

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to engage and motivate elderly residents
  • Basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Assist with activities as directed by Lifestyle Director
  • Encourage resident participation to develop and maintain residents' fullest potential through planned activities
  • Assist with documenting and developing activity programs
  • Support the community's arts and crafts activities
  • Transport residents safely to and from locations such as medical appointments, shopping, banks, activities and social events
  • Cultivate leisure time activities including games, puzzles, and movies
  • Ensure safety and compliance with community policies
