Job Requirements
- minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- indiana paramedic license
- ability to obtain surrounding state license within 6 months of hire (illinois)
- certified flight paramedic advanced certification required within 18 months of hire
- basic life support (BLS) required upon hire
- advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required upon hire
- pediatric advanced life support (PALS) or its equivalency to be obtained within initial probationary period
- neonatal resuscitation program (NRP) or its equivalency to be obtained within initial probationary period
- trauma certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire including ITLS or PHTLS
- emergency vehicle operator course (EVOC) or its equivalency must be obtained within initial probationary period
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 to be obtained with initial probationary period
- valid driver's license in the state of indiana with no more than 6 accrued points
- minimum of 3 years ALS paramedic experience
- ability to make independent clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment

Job Duties
- care for ill-injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations
- transport patients by ambulance and aircraft
- relay and receive patient information and condition
- comply with regulatory requirements and departmental policies
- drive ambulance safely to and from referral hospital
- obtain consents and authorizations from patients or legal guardians
- record time of ambulance runs and process billing and daily reports
