Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain Certified Flight Communicator certification or equivalent training within 18 months of hire
  • Completion of dispatch orientation program upon hire
  • 0-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to type 20-30 words per minute
  • Proficiency with computer programs like MS Word, MS Excel, and CAD system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to remaining current and active in the profession and medical transport industry

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • EMT certification preferred
  • Certified Flight Communicator certification or equivalent training preferred within 18 months of hire
  • Dispatch experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of communication equipment and technology
  • Knowledge of transport responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Help triage patients to the correct level of medical transport care
  • Communicate with ground and flight crews
  • Provide flight and ground following and communications
  • Assist with a variety of short and long-term projects
  • Work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient and family-centered care during transport
  • Complete clinical rotations or operational experiences as assigned
  • Maintain current certification through continuing education
