Job Requirements

  • Sixteen years of age or older
  • Possession of current valid Lifeguard Certification
  • Possession of current valid CPR Certification
  • Possession of current valid First Aid Certification
  • Successful completion of Lifeguard Academy
  • Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays
  • U.S. citizen or legal authority to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to wear uniform provided by agency
  • Availability for seasonal employment from mid-June to late August

Job Qualifications

  • Current valid Lifeguard Certification
  • Current valid CPR Certification
  • Current valid First Aid Certification
  • Successful completion of Lifeguard Academy
  • Ability to recognize potential dangers and respond appropriately
  • Good communication and observational skills
  • Ability to follow clear safety guidelines independently

Job Duties

  • Monitor swimming areas and enforce safety rules
  • Recognize and respond to potential hazards and emergencies
  • Perform rescues and provide first aid or CPR as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of lifeguard equipment
  • Provide information and assistance to park visitors
  • Collaborate with park staff to ensure overall safety
  • Participate in training sessions and safety drills
