Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of lifeguard experience 2 - 3 years experience preferred
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training including CPR AED for Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid
- Lifeguard Training and Lifeguard Training Instructor certifications
- Water Safety Instructor certification
- CPR for Professional Rescuer certification
- Swim Coaches Safety Training and First Aid Instructor certification
- Pool operator's certification
- Current AED certification
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or four to six years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties
- Responds to emergency situations that require trained certified First Responder skills including CPR First Aid and AED use
- ensures safety compliance with county and state health standards for pool patrons
- recruits trains schedules and supervises lifeguard staff
- oversees evening and weekend Aquatics staff and operations in the absence of Aquatics Director and Manager
- reviews Aquatics policies procedures with new employees and trains them
- coordinates Aquatics safety program including safety education and certification maintenance
- prepares lifeguard schedules and performs lifeguarding duties as needed
- assists with inputting Aquatics classes into reservation system
- handles private swimming lesson billing and assists with other Aquatics billing
- enforces pool and spa rules of conduct and educates patrons on safety protocols
- performs office administration tasks including answering calls inquiries filing and reporting pool attendance statistics
- manages pool chemistry monitoring and adjustment to maintain proper chemical balance
