Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Pass pre-requisite swim test
- Pass American Red Cross CPR/AED certification
- Pass lifeguarding certification such as Aquatic Attraction Attendant or Deep Water Lifeguard
- Ability to pass regular swim tests and safety audits
- Comfortable in and around water
- Comfortable with heights
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Must successfully pass pre-requisite swim test
- Must successfully pass American Red Cross CPR/AED certification
- Must successfully pass one of the lifeguarding certifications: Aquatic Attraction Attendant (0-5ft) or Deep Water Lifeguard (5ft plus)
- Ability to pass regular swim tests and in-service/safety audits
- Comfortable in and around water
- Comfortable with heights (high tower slides)
- Able to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exceptional communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Interact with guests while implementing park safety guidelines
- Warn guests of dangerous water activities
- Prevent and respond to guest emergencies
- Administer first aid
- Participate in scheduled in-service training and regular audits
- Be proficient in park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED and First Aid skills
- Monitor all park waterways and respond to guests in distress
- Maintain the cleanliness of your area
- Participate in American Red Cross and company audit processes
- Attend in-service meetings and cross-train to work in other park areas
- Practice safe work habits, including the use of personal protection equipment (PPE)
