Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • CPR AED First Aid certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR AED First Aid certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in security or life safety roles preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage emergencies and act as incident commander

Job Duties

  • Manage security and access control for entire campus including parking areas and ensure health and safety check-in protocols are followed by all visitors
  • Maintain fire and emergency procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Respond to all 911 calls and escort emergency responders to the scene
  • Monitor weather conditions and begin appropriate response (tornado snow power outage)
  • Manage direct and distribute all incoming phone communications mail and packages
  • Accumulate maintain and provide statistics and reports as directed
  • Investigate safety and security incidents that occur on campus property and report all accidents or incidents involving residents or staff personnel to department head
  • Inspect and maintain life safety equipment
  • Conduct night shift fire drills as directed
