Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- certified emergency medical technician or certified emergency medical dispatcher
- certified flight communicator within one year of hire
- valid driver's license
- knowledge of flight-following systems and communication equipment
- ability to handle medical command requests and trauma notifications
- experience in tracking and coordinating air and ground assets
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration and Federal Communications Commission regulations
- ability to coordinate with multiple agencies

Job Duties
- Receives all incoming requests for assistance from requesting entities
- coordinates the closest, safest, and most appropriate asset for transport while following all appropriate guidelines and protocols
- calculates and relays navigational information to assets
- monitors, records, and tracks all assets and crews during day-to-day ground and air operations
- utilizes flight-following systems, communication equipment, and weather reporting systems to complete program operations
- monitors all base-site locations, helipads, and hangars
- obtains patient demographics and medical reports for every transport and disseminates information as needed
- notifies all necessary entities of an asset's estimated time in route or arrival
- handles incoming medical command requests, trauma notifications, and patient reports and connects them to Medical Command or hospital physicians
- coordinates notifications for incoming air and ground assets to appropriate staff members
- coordinates with personnel during incidents and reports actions taken
- updates the Leadership Team on any program or transport issues
- maintains adequate supplies and a clean work environment
- assists in orientation and training of new department personnel
