Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3-5 years experience in social, recreational, or event planning profession
  • technical knowledge of entertainment and presentation equipment
  • supervisory experience preferred
  • excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • ability to work physically with event setup including lifting and assisting residents
  • proficiency in Microsoft Publisher

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in social, recreational, or event planning roles within the last five years
  • technical knowledge of entertainment and presentation equipment
  • management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • excellent customer service and hospitality skills
  • passion for working with elderly populations
  • mastery of Microsoft Publisher

Job Duties

  • Selects, trains, supervises, and disciplines all activities and fitness personnel
  • manages and oversees the wellness and fitness department
  • establishes and maintains positive relationships with residents, providing exceptional customer service
  • hires, educates, coaches activity and fitness staff and manages performance
  • develops, organizes, and coordinates all resident activities including group trips, speakers, performers, exercise programs, classes, and special events
  • manages monthly activity calendars, publicity, advertising, menu development, logistics, and budget tracking
  • coordinates and assists various resident committees and serves as management's representative
  • manages meeting space and prepares function/event forms
  • sets up sound and recording equipment throughout campus
  • develops, writes, and implements policies and procedures in compliance with community standards
  • collaborates with internal departments to achieve high resident satisfaction
  • manages communications to residents including newsletters, in-house TV channel, portal activities section, and flyers
  • supports human resources functions including payroll coordination and employee relations
  • develops and manages departmental budgets and financial data analysis
  • prepares and manages administrative reports and documentation
  • performs supervisory and event-related duties as assigned
