Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One year experience in activity programming, education, or related field
- Ability to manage groups and communicate effectively
- Flexibility to work in dynamic and sometimes stressful environments
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency with computer software including office suites
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed

Job Duties
- Oversee, plan and carry out special events, group and individual activities and outings with residents in Independent Living areas
- Work with and communicate with other Resident Event Coordinators when planning and implementing programs and developing monthly calendar of events
- Build monthly newsletter using office suite programs with attention to detail
- Provide monthly budgeting assistance based upon calendar of events
- Utilize and coordinate participation with volunteers, both resident and non-resident, to assist with activities
- Shop for and gather supplies and materials necessary to implement all activities
- Work closely with transportation to schedule bus transportation based on event needs
- Communicate to residents and staff plans for activities and develop descriptions about upcoming activities for the calendar
- Lead large and small group activities, sometimes alone and sometimes in collaboration with other staff
- Manage time effectively and maintain organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration
- Assess resident activity preferences and interests and then provide those activities
- Perform other duties as directed, including occasional after-hours and weekend events
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, including federal and state laws regarding privacy and technology use
- Responsible for welcoming and onboarding new employees
