Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associates' degree preferred
- certification as recreational therapist or activities director preferred
- minimum one year experience in a senior living or long term care setting preferred
- strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- proficiency in administrative tasks and event coordination
- problem-solving ability and self-starter mindset
Job Qualifications
- Associates' degree (emphasis in tourism/event planning preferred)
- certified recreational therapist/activities director (preferred)
- one year experience in a long-term care/senior living environment (preferred)
- one year experience in hospitality (preferred)
Job Duties
- Provide administrative support and be the liaison for outside vendors and entertainers
- assist in managing resident relations in our Health Care Center/Skilled Nursing Units
- provide support to clinical staff in care plan meetings and required documentation
- continuously coordinate and plan resident events, socials, and community outreach events
- serve as the primary contact for resident and families regarding social events, entertainers, and community events
- communicate with internal stakeholders and vendors regarding event day changes
- provide vital documentation and paperwork for outside entertainment and contractors
- prepare monthly event/entertainment calendars for the community
- develop and update residents on entertainment events
- plan events and entertainment functions on weekends or holidays as needed
- create and design marketing collateral for the community and outreach partners
- participate in social events as requested by community leadership
- maintain a presentable work area
- perform other duties as assigned by the life enrichment department and in response to resident needs
