Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years experience in a social or recreation program or similar experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Food handlers card required upon hire
  • Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with an elder population
  • Knowledge of computers, data entry, retrieval, output, etc.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies
  • Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public
  • Must be 25 years or older to drive company vehicle

Job Qualifications

  • Additional education preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members
  • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters
  • Participate in community event planning with the marketing staff
  • Prepare person centered activities as a description for the monthly calendar
  • Create and update residents service plan preferences in their electronic health record
  • Make routine visits to residents
  • Plan, prepare and operate under the activities budget
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • Attend quarterly LED meetings
