Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or three years related experience
  • Experience in social work, physical fitness, recreation therapy, art therapy, or related field
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification
  • Physical ability to lift 35 pounds and push wheelchairs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to drive community vehicle if necessary
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, physical fitness, recreation therapy, art therapy, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years related experience
  • Experience working in a senior community preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
  • Current CPR and/or First Aid certification
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push wheelchair-bound residents

Job Duties

  • Plan and develop activities and events encompassing seven components of wellness
  • Serve as a member of the community's management and wellness teams
  • Attend resident association meetings and provide advisory support
  • Conduct surveys to assess resident needs and preferences
  • Coordinate and communicate wellness activities and events
  • Organize calendars and manage vendor relations for activities
  • Recruit, train, and recognize volunteers
  • Assist with community public relations
  • Provide office support including maintaining directories and records
  • Oversee transportation services and coordinate scheduling
  • Maintain compliance with organizational conduct and safety standards
  • Pursue ongoing training and professional development
  • Collaborate with care managers to provide tailored activities
  • Collect and analyze data for wellness program improvements
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned
