Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience planning and coordinating recreational activities
- Ability to obtain Class B license within six months if not already held
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Demonstrated initiative and enthusiasm in working with seniors
- Ability to follow PHS's faith-based mission and values
- Proficiency in English communication
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or related
- Demonstrated ability to plan, program, implement and coordinate recreation programming for residents
- Previous experience with seniors preferred
- Class B license or ability to obtain within six months
- Strong communication skills including understanding resident preferences and needs
- Demonstrated relationship building skills with residents
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Enthusiasm, initiative and positive rapport with residents, staff, families and volunteers
- Compatibility with PHS mission and operating philosophies
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to communicate with all customers
Job Duties
- Promoting the resident’s well-being and satisfaction by supporting liberty in all areas of the resident’s life
- Developing and interpreting standards of care, guiding the interdisciplinary team to establish and implement the resident’s plan of care with the resident and family and household team
- Helping to improve systems and eliminate barriers to resident-centered care and services
- Collaborating with residents, families, professionals, and staff to implement programs that meet psychosocial and activity needs including diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, exercise, social interaction, growth, and household rituals
- Leading and participating in daily chat circles with residents and staff
- Assisting residents with individual or group activities and providing leisure life activities
- Planning, implementing, and participating in outings and special events
- Providing one-on-one interaction with residents based on preferences
