Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience in senior adult programming or related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Creativity in program design
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
  • Ability to work in office and community settings
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate office and event equipment
  • Valid driver's license to drive company vehicle for off-campus events
  • Clarity of vision for close and peripheral work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with senior adults
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational and creative thinking abilities
  • Ability to design and implement compliant recreational programs
  • Teamwork and mentoring skills
  • Ability to develop and schedule life enrichment activities aligned with resident interests

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with resident services director to plan, implement and facilitate social and recreational programs
  • Plan structured individual and group activities and facilitate resident-led events
  • Drive company vehicle for off-campus events as needed
  • Ensure programming aligns with LifeConnect philosophy
  • Support marketing of programs to community and staff, including updating the MyCov Life app
  • Plan and escort off-campus events such as educational outings and special trips
  • Develop and direct the volunteer program, including recruitment and coordination
  • Coordinate events with other departments, including town hall and resident council meetings
  • Update on-campus TV channel and other communication methods such as newsletters and bulletin boards
  • Provide newsletter editing and maintain communication channels
  • Stay current on trends in recreational programming and ensure standards are met or exceeded
  • Provide orientation and welcome new residents
  • Update care plans and attend care conferences as needed
