Job Requirements
- Completion of high school
- At least six months of relevant work experience preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and events
- Ability to independently develop and coordinate activities
- Effective time management and teamwork skills
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Commitment to attend safety training and comply with safety rules
- Must comply with TB testing and annual influenza vaccination policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months previous work experience in a similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and events
- Ability to develop, plan, and coordinate activity programs independently
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse staff and residents
- Musically inclined and able to play various instruments preferred
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
- Experience in training and leading teams
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate activities for residents
- Work as a team member to ensure activities meet residents' social, educational, and spiritual needs
- Contact new residents to assess their abilities, needs, and activity preferences
- Collaborate with staff to develop monthly activity calendars and bulletin boards
- Attend and participate in care plan meetings (skilled nursing)
- Lead monthly Activity Committee meetings with residents (skilled nursing)
- Design and lead training for Life Enrichment team members
- Schedule and lead monthly team meetings for idea sharing, event planning, and team building
- Attend morning reports and review daily staff reports
- Participate in monthly leadership and supervisor training meetings
- Arrange monthly check-in meetings with team members for support and feedback
- Provide weekly activities in each cottage
- Observe activities to ensure quality and inclusiveness across the 7 dimensions of wellness
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for activity scheduling
- Organize cottage special events such as block parties and holiday dinners
- Communicate supply needs and organizational concerns to the Director
- Assist with employee performance reviews and provide feedback
