Job Requirements

associate's degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, and/or human services related field
minimum of three years' experience working with older adults
current or eligible certification in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or Activity Director
dementia engagement certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment
current or eligible certification in CPR

Job Duties

plan and implement programs and events providing residents an Acts Signature Experience (ASE)
incorporate wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality into program planning
ensure meaningful engagement opportunities for residents of differing cognitive and functional levels
develop programs based on Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement
tailor activities according to residents' personal history and preferences
promote body, mind, and spirit balance through diverse activities
support the Acts Engaged Living Philosophy in daily programming
