Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 2 or more years of experience working in social or recreational programs preferred
  • Experience working with geriatrics or the elderly preferred
  • Genuine empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to handle documentation timely and accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Genuine empathy and patience

Job Duties

  • Leads communication and promotion of scheduled programs
  • Assists residents to and from programs
  • Plans and carries out personal interaction and social activities with residents
  • Develops programs that enhance each resident's sense of meaningful engagement
  • Explores interests and preferences to involve residents appropriately
  • Communicates initial information and observations to staff
  • Meets with new residents in a timely manner and attends care conferences
  • Ensures documentation is informative, descriptive, timely, and accurate
