Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience working with senior adults
  • Experience in life enrichment or recreational programming
  • Strong communication organization creativity and teamwork skills
  • Ability to design and implement programs compatible with state regulations
  • Ability to train and mentor a team
  • Physical ability and mobility to work in an office and community setting
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and twist
  • Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate various equipment
  • Near and far visual acuity and peripheral vision
  • Ability to engage in repetitive movements such as typing and writing

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with senior adults or in life enrichment programming
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to train and mentor team members
  • Experience designing and implementing compliant recreational programs
  • Proficiency in marketing and communication tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the resident services director in the planning implementation and facilitation of social and recreational programs at the campus
  • Plan and facilitate structured individual and group activities and resident-led events
  • Drive company vehicle when facilitating off campus events as necessary
  • Ensure all programming guidelines align with Covenant Living's LifeConnect philosophy
  • Support marketing of programs to the community and staff including updating the MyCov Life app
  • Plan and escort off-campus events such as educational outings and musical performances
  • Develop and manage the volunteer program including recruitment scheduling and coordination
  • Coordinate with other departments to organize events such as town halls and resident council meetings
  • Update on-campus TV channel and manage various resident and staff communication tools such as newsletters and information boards
  • Maintain current knowledge of recreational programming trends for older adults and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Provide welcome orientation for new residents and update relevant care plans and attend care conferences as needed
