Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in social recreational or activities based program preferably in senior living healthcare or dementia care
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead groups
  • Organizational skills
  • Patience and empathy

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in social recreational or activities based program preferably in senior living healthcare or dementia care
  • Demonstrated passion for serving older adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with high level of patience empathy and creativity
  • Ability to lead small and large groups with enthusiasm and confidence
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for planning and recordkeeping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents as needed

Job Duties

  • Plan organize and lead daily group and one on one programs that support physical cognitive social emotional and spiritual wellness of residents
  • Build genuine trusting relationships with residents and families
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in meaningful activities adapting programs to meet individual needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to design activities that align with each resident’s care plan and cognitive abilities
  • Coordinate special events outings and intergenerational programs that enhance quality of life
  • Maintain attendance records and document participation accurately
  • Support community wide programs events and celebrations as part of the broader Life Enrichment team
  • Safely assist residents during outings including operation of accessible transportation training provided
