Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with senior adults
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to organize and plan programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle
  • Ability to update and maintain communication platforms
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Ability to mentor and train staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with senior adults
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Creativity in program design
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Teamwork ability
  • Knowledge of state regulations regarding recreational programs
  • Ability to train and mentor a team
  • Ability to develop and schedule life enrichment programs aligned with resident interests

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with resident services director in planning and implementing social and recreational programs
  • Facilitate structured individual and group activities and resident-led events
  • Drive company vehicle for off-campus events when necessary
  • Ensure programming aligns with LifeConnect philosophy
  • Support marketing of programs to community and staff
  • Plan and escort off-campus events such as educational outings and musical performances
  • Develop and coordinate volunteer program including recruiting and scheduling volunteers
  • Coordinate with other departments for planning and facilitating events including townhall and resident council meetings
  • Plan and implement larger-scale events periodically
  • Update on-campus TV channel and other communication methods like newsletters and information boards
  • Edit newsletters as needed
  • Stay current with recreational programming trends and meet Covenant Living standards
  • Welcome and orient new residents
  • Update care plans and attend care conferences as needed
