Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in activities department preferably in assisted living
  • Prior experience working with elderly or disabled adults
  • Prior experience recruiting and directing volunteers
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position
  • Subject to criminal background study
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products including Excel and Word

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and accurately follow through on work activities to meet deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Display creativity and imagination in planning monthly activities
  • Adapt games and crafts to ensure participation of all residents
  • Create monthly programming, life enrichment calendar, and newsletter
  • Interact and carry out activities with residents
  • Develop new activities creatively
  • Conduct specialized programming in secured memory care community
  • Attend events outside the community
  • Organize, set up, and follow through with activities and volunteers
  • Coordinate functions working with various departments and individuals
