Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in senior care or life enrichment activities
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends evenings and holidays
- Valid Food Handler's card
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear driving record and ability to drive large mini-bus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Preferred but not required to have HCA or CNA certification
- Must maintain a valid Food Handler's card
- Must maintain valid CPR and First Aid Training card
- Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults
- Availability to work weekends evenings and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
- Experience in volunteer recruitment and training
- Experience or training to drive large mini-bus with clear driving record for facility vehicle insurance
Job Duties
- Assist in implementing the daily activities program including social events outings and recreational opportunities
- Support the social and emotional well-being of residents by helping to meet their physical intellectual and social needs
- Serve as a welcoming presence by greeting visitors and maintaining professional boundaries with residents and staff
- Help with the organization of activity areas and supplies
- Assist in orienting and coordinating volunteers for facility activities
- Uphold safety standards and infection control practices at all times
