Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in senior care or life enrichment activities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends evenings and holidays
  • Valid Food Handler's card
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Clear driving record and ability to drive large mini-bus
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred but not required to have HCA or CNA certification
  • Must maintain a valid Food Handler's card
  • Must maintain valid CPR and First Aid Training card
  • Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults
  • Availability to work weekends evenings and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and training
  • Experience or training to drive large mini-bus with clear driving record for facility vehicle insurance

Job Duties

  • Assist in implementing the daily activities program including social events outings and recreational opportunities
  • Support the social and emotional well-being of residents by helping to meet their physical intellectual and social needs
  • Serve as a welcoming presence by greeting visitors and maintaining professional boundaries with residents and staff
  • Help with the organization of activity areas and supplies
  • Assist in orienting and coordinating volunteers for facility activities
  • Uphold safety standards and infection control practices at all times
