Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults
  • Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate people
  • Able to delegate responsibility while maintaining oversight of activities
  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision to the elderly
  • Strong understanding of English sufficient to read, write, and interpret administrative information
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults
  • Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate people

  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred
  • Knowledge of elderly care and supervision requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred two years of college specializing in recreational activities
  • Strong understanding of English to read, write, and interpret information
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer members and staff involvement in activities
  • Attend training courses and maintain up-to-date education through LMS
  • Communicate with department supervisors about activity programs and upcoming events
  • Create daily and monthly activity calendars reflecting residents interests
  • Coordinate and host special events including holiday celebrations
  • Provide forums for residents to share ideas and feedback
  • Maintain supplies for activities within budget
  • Arrange transportation for outings and emergencies
  • Cultivate opportunities for resident engagement in community and service projects
  • Possess knowledge of community services, healthcare, residents, and employees
