  • ability to design and execute programs suitable for seniors with varying cognitive and physical abilities

  • knowledge or willingness to understand dementia and related care
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software

  • marketing skills for volunteer coordination
  • business acumen to manage budgets for labor and supplies

Job Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age
  • minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, event planning, or group coordination
  • current negative TB test
  • ability to pass criminal record/background check
  • valid driver license with qualifying driver abstract
  • good time management skills
  • ability to work independently with little oversight
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • desire to interact frequently and lead groups

Job Duties

  • Create and implement engaging programs for residents
  • coordinate and plan small and large group activities and events
  • promote wellness programs including physical exercise and mindfulness
  • provide opportunities for social engagement and spiritual fulfillment
  • develop programs that stimulate continuous learning and cognitive function
  • build and lead a team to deliver quality programming
  • market volunteer opportunities to support programs
