Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Minimum two years experience in clinical or hospital setting
- Ability to work part-time
- Must be able to follow regulatory and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of responsibility
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
- Familiarity with plasma collection industry regulations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility including management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE)
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies including development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities
- Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings, donor safety, and eligibility
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- Manage employee incidents and assess need for further occupational health or emergency evaluation
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic-related investigations
- Provide center-level support for environmental, health, and safety initiatives
