Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customs brokerage field as a licensed customs broker
  • Familiarity with CFR19
  • Must be proficient with harmonized tariff schedule
  • Proficient at classifying commodities
  • Knowledge of antidumping and countervailing duties
  • IEEPA, Section 232 (Steel, Aluminum, Copper)
  • Section 301, 321 regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of incoterms (terms of delivery) of the business
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with appropriate follow-up
  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to work overtime during peak times when problems arise and/or customer requirements are modified
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Licensed customs broker with 3+ years of experience in customs brokerage
  • Familiarity with CFR19 regulations
  • Proficient with harmonized tariff schedule
  • Experienced in classifying commodities
  • Knowledge of antidumping and countervailing duties
  • Understanding of IEEPA, Section 232, Section 301, and 321 regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of incoterms related to business delivery terms
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in team-oriented and collaborative environments
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to work overtime during peak times
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide and submit CBP binding rulings
  • Protest and post summary corrections
  • Drawback filings
  • Inbond filings including IE, T&E, IT
  • Temporary in-bond filings
  • Audit commercial documents and apply harmonized tariff schedule for accurate duty assessment
  • Invoice customers for duty and entry charges
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness with all entries and daily operations
  • Provide updates to U.S. Customs and customers
  • Arrange for freight delivery of shipments
  • Respond to daily emails and incoming calls
  • Facilitate CBP exams and respond to CBP requests
  • Facilitate with CBP seizures
  • Handle U.S. Fish and Wildlife E-Declaration
  • Manage regulatory compliance with FDA, USDA, FCC, Lacey Act, Steel License, EPA, DOT, DEA, TTB
