Job Requirements
- Current licensed LAC in Montana
- valid Montana driver’s license

Job Qualifications
- Current license as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Montana
- experience conducting ASAM and biopsychosocial assessments
- proficiency in developing and reviewing detailed treatment plans
- ability to provide individual and group therapy
- experience leading psychoeducational and family counseling sessions
- strong documentation and case management skills
- effective crisis intervention abilities
- ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- capability to conduct referrals and advocacy work
- competent in using computer systems for data entry
- valid Montana driver’s license
- possession of comprehensive vehicle insurance
- current CPS and criminal background clearances
- positive attitude with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- flexible work availability beyond typical business hours.
Job Duties
- Conduct initial ASAM and biopsychosocial assessments upon admission and during continued stay reviews
- develop and update treatment plans within agency timelines
- provide group counseling/therapy sessions as scheduled
- conduct individual counseling sessions with assigned caseload weekly or more as needed
- present educational sessions using audio/visual aids and exercises
- complete all required documentation within 72 hours in line with policies
- participate in crisis intervention with patients
- consult with the mental health team to evaluate patient needs
- provide staff coverage for intake, assessment, psychoeducation, family sessions, individual sessions, group sessions, discharge planning, crisis intervention, and case management as needed
- attend daily multidisciplinary team meetings to review individual cases and coordinate care
- conduct family counseling and involve family in recovery and discharge planning
- participate and assist in special patient activities and recreational events
- accept on-call counselor duties on a rotating basis
- facilitate referrals to outside agencies and continuing care to ensure continuity of care
- advocate for patients by consulting with probation officers, attorneys, and protective services
- attend all mandatory in-services, staff, counselor, and clinical meetings
- notify Clinical Director and Admissions about resident exits or changes in graduation dates
- maintain professional boundaries
- de-escalate conflict situations
- collaborate positively with team members and community resources
- perform other job-related duties as assigned.
