Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4+ years of experience in event space oversight
- Proficiency with computer software and technology-related scheduling, contract management, and technical training in audio-visual equipment

- Prior experience in event management of multiple locations and users
Job Duties
- Manages and optimizes all event spaces within the library for public, private, and non-profit events serving the City
- Optimizes event spaces by managing furniture, equipment, and supplies available to tenants and renters, ensuring functionality and maintenance of equipment and room conditions
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, tenants, the general public, and community organizations and groups
- Utilizes software and hardware for communication with tenants, reservation systems, rule and policy communication, door access, and acknowledgment and contract management
- Manages fee schedules, contractual agreements, approved vendors, and policies for tenant and event spaces
- liaises with Library Board and City Council for modifications and approval
- Acts as a master trainer for technology training for tenants, renters, and library staff
- Coordinates room readiness, scheduling of facility access, and room check-out process
- Serves as a projectionist for technology administration for auditorium events and oversees contracted projectionists, as needed
- Serves as liaison between other departments such as Special Events, Building Maintenance, Parking, etc
- Organizes door access and holiday closures for the building
- Serves as backup on the library information desk, as needed
