Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation required
- Must provide documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Flexible schedule including regular evening and weekend (Saturday) hours
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moving materials up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work on short notice
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Capability to interact effectively with diverse populations
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum one year of progressively responsible public service or library experience
- Experience in customer service for diverse populations preferred
- Ability to use computer software such as Canva and Adobe
- Familiarity with library operating procedures and digital resources
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to deliver public presentations and programs
- Spanish language proficiency a plus
Job Duties
- Provide frontline customer service including answering reference and technology questions
- Handle circulation tasks such as checking materials in and out, shelving and shelf-reading
- Update patron accounts accurately
- Prepare materials and facilitate library programming activities
- Assist with clean-up after programs
- Provide coverage for vacancy, sick and vacation periods
- Support daily tasks and projects assigned by the Library Manager
