Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- hospital food service experience preferred
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to follow infection prevention practices
- basic knowledge of modified diets
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a busy environment
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- ability to communicate effectively in english both orally and in writing
- phone skills for customer interaction
- ability to maintain a positive attitude in patient interactions
Job Duties
- Enter meal preferences ensuring compliance with diet restrictions
- deliver patient trays and verify identity using two patient identifiers
- instruct patients in meal ordering process and advocate on their behalf
- monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards according to HACCP and health department guidelines
- assist with additional patient meal requests and deliver nutrition supplies to units
- operate equipment safely and maintain workstation cleanliness
- communicate respectfully with patients and team members and resolve customer service issues
- assist with dish room duties, rolling silverware, and general cleaning
- complete patient satisfaction surveys and escalate food allergy or diet concerns as needed
