Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts appropriate for recipe adjustments
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to operate food preparation and cleanup equipment
- Ability to work amicably with peers and maintain a positive attitude in the presence of students

Job Duties
- Work with the Food Service Manager to prepare and serve nutritious meals suitable for children that meet state and federal regulations
- Practice food and sanitization standards that meet or exceed USDA requirements
- Maintain high safety standards in food preparation and proper equipment use
- Report any problems or accidents in the kitchen or lunchroom immediately to the Food Service Manager
- Report receipt of any faulty or inferior quality food to the Food Service Manager
- Perform other tasks related to food service as assigned from time to time
