Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food preparation or cooking
  • ability to follow dietary and sanitary regulations
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work part-time shifts including every other weekend
  • willingness to work in a senior living environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in a senior living setting is preferred
  • must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees
  • must possess advanced computer skills, including email use

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures
  • direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils
  • check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy
  • ensure proper storage for food and supplies
  • review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures
