Job Requirements
- Move bend lift carry push pull and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Stand walk or sit for an extended period or entire work shift
- Requires repetitive motion with consistent use of hands and arms
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Cash handling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Knowledge of food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year customer service experience
- Experience in food, beverage and/or retail environments
- Previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience required
- Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to input information accurately into MICROS
- Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm demeanor
- Ability to work cohesively with coworkers
- Ability to prioritize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with coffee, espresso, specialty drinks and retail items
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food and beverage offerings within a coffee house setting
- Communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Represent Omni standards when handling guest complaints and issues
- Maintain professionalism in all situations
- Work in stressful, high-pressure environments
- Follow proper uniform and grooming standards
- Ensure lobby public areas are maintained
- Assist with monthly inventory if necessary
- Maintain a clean workspace throughout entire shift
- Follow proper procedures regarding tendering transactions
- Maintain a cash bank and adhere to cash handling procedures
- Ensure accuracy of guest room numbers for room charges
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied
- Adhere to proper food handling procedures
- Use equipment safely and properly
- Follow policies regarding employee purchases and discount standards
- Manage logs, receipts and returns properly
- Accept credit cards and checks following procedures
- Ensure each beverage is prepared consistently by Omni standards
- Proactively seek ways to improve guest experience
