The Fort Lauderdale Hotel, set to open in Fall 2025, is an exciting new addition to South Florida's hospitality landscape. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year relevant customer service experience
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands and arms
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Ability to handle cash accurately and follow cash handling procedures
- Commitment to maintain uniform and grooming standards
- Willingness to work under high pressure
- Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year customer service experience
- Experience in food, beverage, or retail environment
- Previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
- Cash handling experience required
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to input information accurately using MICROS
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers
- Ability to prioritize and follow up in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with coffee, espresso, specialty drinks, and retail items
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food and beverage offerings within a coffee house setting
- Communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Represent Omni standards when handling guest complaints and issues
- Maintain professionalism in all situations
- Work effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Follow uniform and grooming standards
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby public areas
- Assist with monthly inventory if necessary
- Keep workspace clean throughout shift
- Follow proper procedures for tendering transactions and cash handling
- Ensure accuracy of guest room charges
- Collaborate with other departments to satisfy guest needs
- Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures
- Follow employee purchase and discount policies
- Maintain logs, receipts, and process returns
- Accept credit cards and checks according to procedure
- Consistently prepare and serve beverages by Omni standards
- Proactively seek ways to improve guest experience
