Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Previous cooking or food service experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout shifts
- Capability to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, and reaching
- Comfortable preparing meats, seafood, and vegetables and maintaining cold table supplies
- Ability to perform all cleaning functions including sanitizing equipment, tools, utensils, and work surfaces
- Reliable attendance and ability to work various scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or food service experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude
- Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout shifts while handling temperature variations
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen setting
Job Duties
- Skillfully prepare a variety of menu items including stir-frying entrees and appetizers in line with established recipes and quality standards
- Efficiently prep and portion ingredients and maintain a well-stocked kitchen station
- Ensure all products served meet high-quality standards by monitoring food preparation closely
- Follow all kitchen rules, policies, and procedures including standard batch sizes and cooking methods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, food storage, equipment, and utensils including proper opening and closing of kitchen stations
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours
