Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and 3 years of related work experience
  • OR Associate degree in Culinary Arts and 5 years of related work experience
  • OR 15 college credits in Culinary Arts and 7 years of related work experience
  • OR Master recognition by Food Services Community and 10 years of related work experience
  • Must be able to teach in person and attend meetings or trainings on short notice
  • Must maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts with extensive related work experience
  • Experience in professional training within the culinary arts
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred
  • Commitment to supporting student success
  • Willingness to work with Running Start and Early College programs
  • Ability to conduct effective student evaluations
  • Familiarity with course learning outcomes assessment

Job Duties

  • Conduct lecture and laboratory courses in the discipline
  • May include instructional assignment involving distance education
  • Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught
  • Possible evening, weekend and off-campus assignments
  • Conduct student evaluations of teaching effectiveness
  • Participate in assessment of course learning outcomes
  • Adhere to all due dates including the online submission of grades
