Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university with at least one year completed
  • minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA maintained
  • current or future leaseholder
  • residence on designated community floor
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • valid driver’s license
  • availability to work about 20 hours weekly
  • available evenings and weekends
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled institution
  • maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • current or future leaseholder of the community
  • live on designated community floor as assigned
  • able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • valid driver’s license
  • available to work approximately 20 hours per week
  • available evenings and weekends
  • ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Core Values
  • preferred experience as an assistant, administrative assistant, receptionist, leasing consultant, real estate assistant, or in leasing

Job Duties

  • Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
  • perform administrative front desk tasks and duties
  • participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training
  • warmly greet prospective clients
  • answer incoming leasing calls
  • determine needs and preferences of potential residents
  • professionally present the community and apartment homes
  • utilize feature/benefit selling
  • close the sale
  • follow up with prospective residents
  • complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork
  • pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified
  • maintain accurate lease file documentation
  • participate in lease file audits
  • be knowledgeable about current market conditions and trends
  • maintain cleanliness of the tour path for positive first impressions
  • demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors
  • participate in and assist with planning community events
  • assist with various additional community projects
  • participate in Cardinal U training
  • perform on-call responsibilities including lock-outs and nightly rounds
  • work evenings and weekends as required
