Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university
  • maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average
  • must be a current or future leaseholder of community
  • must live on designated community floor per community guidelines
  • able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • must have a valid driver’s license
  • available to be scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week
  • available evenings and weekends
  • ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Core Values every day

Job Duties

  • be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied
  • perform administrative front desk tasks and duties
  • participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training as required
  • warmly greet prospective clients
  • answer incoming leasing calls
  • determine needs and preferences
  • professionally present the community and apartment homes
  • utilize feature-benefit selling
  • close the sale
  • follow up with prospects
  • complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork
  • pass third party leasing shops and become certified in the Cardinal Way of Leasing
  • maintain accurate lease file documentation in accordance with company policy
  • participate in lease file audits as assigned by the Community Manager
  • maintain cleanliness of the tour path
  • demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors
  • participate in and assist with planning community events
  • assist with various additional community projects as assigned by the Community Manager
  • participate in Cardinal U training as required
  • perform on-call responsibilities including lock-outs and nightly rounds
  • work evenings and weekends
