Job Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of three years managerial experience required
- Experience in luxury hospitality or similar service environments preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and training design
- Ability to conduct effective needs assessments
- Experience using e-learning and other learning technologies
- Strong analytical and coaching abilities
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must be flexible with work schedule
- Must be willing to commute weekly to San Francisco properties
- This is a non-remote position
Job Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in learning and development management preferred
- Minimum of three years managerial experience
- Experience in hotel operations, preferably in luxury hospitality or diverse service environments
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong instructional design, analytical, coaching, and influencing skills
- Knowledge of adult learning styles and principles
- Proficiency in needs assessment methodologies and identification of learning needs
- Familiarity with learning technologies including e-learning and distance learning options
- Understanding of evaluation methods for measuring program impact
- Competence in project planning tools and processes
- Effective communication and influencing strategies
- Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial management skills
- Awareness of current industry trends in workplace learning
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability
- Willingness to commute weekly to San Francisco properties for in-person training
Job Duties
- Manages and facilitates a complete 3-day onboarding Embark program for all new employees
- Manages and facilitates core training programs including Service Foundations, Introduction to Leadership Behaviours, New Leader Orientation, GROW, and annual compliance requirements
- Maintains and develops a Certified Departmental Trainer program supporting standards achievement and guest satisfaction
- Partners with hotel management to identify performance gaps and plan appropriate training activities
- Coaches managers to ensure consistent department-level training
- Collaborates with People & Culture and department heads to manage compliance and safety training across all properties
- Conducts Learning Needs Analysis and develops strategic training plans aligned with property goals and budgets
- Designs and delivers blended learning programs targeting performance gaps and management competencies
- Prepares training calendars reflecting current learning needs
- Markets learning programs and evaluates training effectiveness
- Manages training program budgets and selects external vendors for specialized training
- Leads property-wide change initiatives and service improvements
- Commits to personal growth in the learning and development field
- Travels as required to support cluster properties
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
