Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in veterinary or medical front desk role
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathy when discussing sensitive topics

  • Flexibility to work nights, days, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical or veterinary front desk, receptionist, or administrative assistant role
  • Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
  • Comfort discussing sensitive topics such as end-of-life care and financial discussions with empathy
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor

Job Duties

  • Be the first point of contact
  • Greet clients and their pets warmly
  • Complete the sign-in process
  • Verify and confirm appointment details
  • Ensure clients feel informed and reassured
  • Support clinical flow by escorting clients to exam rooms
  • Assist in relaying key information between clients and clinical staff
  • Manage client communications including handling incoming calls and making outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-up care
  • Process payments and manage invoicing
  • Schedule future appointments with attention to detail
  • Understand and communicate clearly about common vaccines, lab tests, procedures, pet behavior, and veterinary terminology
  • Create a welcoming space by maintaining a clean, organized, and client-ready environment
  • Occasionally assist with pet-related clean-up to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors
