Job Requirements
- Associates degree in ECE or related field
- Colorado Department of Human Services Director Qualified or agree to obtain
- Experience teaching in early childhood education including curriculum planning and assessments
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- First aid and infant, child and adult CPR certification within first year
- Medication administration certification within 90 days
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test including marijuana and background check
- Access to reliable transportation and maintain state-required minimum liability insurance if using personal vehicle
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field
- Director Qualified (DQ) credential or written agreement to obtain
- Experience in early childhood education teaching including curriculum planning and assessments
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- First aid and CPR certification for infant, child, and adult within first year
- Medication Administration certification within 90 days
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical, TB screen, drug test and background check
- Access to reliable transportation with minimum liability insurance if using a personal vehicle
- Bachelor’s degree with 30 ECE credits preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred
Job Duties
- Plan and implement learning experiences that advance whole child development
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment
- Comply with Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing requirements
- Implement group and individualized experiences promoting school readiness
- Provide daily supervision for assigned classroom staff
- Collaborate with families to support children's learning and development
- Monitor and assess children's progress using appropriate tools
