Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum three years of customer service experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Responsible Beverage Service certificate required and paid for upon hire
- ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three or more years of customer service experience
- experience in a wine tasting environment preferred
- must be 21 years of age to pour, serve and taste wine
- must possess Responsible Beverage Service certificate or be willing to obtain upon hire

- in-depth knowledge of wine, food and pairings
- capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in a team environment

Job Duties
- Provides hands-on support, assigns daily tasks, ensures employees have proper tools and equipment, and monitors output
- leads in a constructive manner by example, demonstrating and encouraging a strong work ethic and fostering an environment of trust and respect
- guides team in proper use of assets and resources to avoid waste and ensure cost-effective operations
- ensures clear communication amongst the team and follows-up on assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness
- informs supervisor of staffing needs
- ensures employees conduct themselves safely and keeps work areas clean to prevent hazards, immediately reporting safety concerns
- supports change initiatives and company decisions effectively
- communicates closely with supervisor regarding employee issues confidentially
- maintains company and regulatory compliance during operations, assigns and monitors breaks and provides backup relief
- provides timely feedback to employees and informs supervisor of team performance, training needs, and recognition
- coordinates with leadership on winery-wide issues
- handles customer concerns objectively and confidentially, reporting issues to department head
- orders wines, merchandise and supplies with leadership input
- opens and closes tasting room as needed
- updates tasting room bar menu and point of sale materials
- performs tasting room hosting responsibilities including greeting visitors, pouring wines, describing wine and winemaking techniques, answering questions
- suggests and sells wine and non-wine products
- handles POS transactions including operating cash register, processing returns and discounts
- provides direction to tasting room team to increase productivity when manager is away
- performs additional duties as assigned by manager
