Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years customer service experience
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • responsible beverage service certificate required
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service
  • knowledge of wine and food pairings
  • proficiency in retail software and Microsoft Office
  • ability to maintain safe work environment
  • ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 plus years of customer service experience
  • experience in a wine tasting environment preferred
  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • responsible beverage service certificate required
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • in-depth knowledge of wine, food, and pairings
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships
  • proficient in retail software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • basic business math skills
  • solution-oriented problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Provides hands-on support and assigns daily tasks
  • ensures employees have proper tools and equipment and monitors output
  • leads constructively by example fostering a strong work ethic
  • guides team in resource use to avoid waste
  • ensures clear communication and follows-up on assignments
  • informs supervisor of staffing needs
  • enforces safe work conduct and clean work areas
  • supports change initiatives and company decisions
  • maintains company and regulatory compliance in daily operations
  • provides timely feedback to employees on performance
  • coordinates with leadership on winery wide issues
  • handles customer concerns objectively and confidentially
  • orders wines, merchandise, and supplies with leadership input
  • opens and closes the Tasting Room as needed
  • updates bar menu and POS materials
  • performs hosting duties including greeting visitors and pouring wines
  • describes wine and winery history
  • suggests and sells wine and non-wine products
  • processes POS transactions including cash register operations
  • provides direction to team when manager is away
