Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years of customer service experience
- experience in a wine tasting environment
- must be 21 years of age
- Responsible Beverage Service certificate (paid for upon hire)
- ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of wine, food, and pairings
- effective team communication and customer service
- professional appearance and demeanor
- flexibility

- proficiency in retail software and Microsoft Office
- basic business math skills

Job Duties
- Provides hands-on support and assigns daily tasks
- ensures employees have proper tools and equipment
- monitors output
- leads by example fostering a strong work ethic and environment of trust
- guides proper use of assets to avoid waste
- ensures clear communication and follows up on assignments
- reports staffing needs to supervisor
- ensures safety and cleanliness in work areas
- supports change initiatives and company decisions
- communicates employee issues confidentially to supervisor
- maintains compliance with company and regulatory standards
- assigns and monitors breaks
- provides daily feedback and informs supervisor of performance
- coordinates with leadership on winery-wide issues
- handles customer concerns objectively
- orders wines, merchandise, and supplies
- opens and closes the tasting room
- updates bar menu and POS materials
- performs hosting duties including greeting visitors and pouring wine
- describes wine and winery history
- suggests and sells products
- handles POS transactions
- provides direction in manager's absence
